Ajeet Rai and Kiranpal Pannu have taken a path breaking step for the Indian Diaspora as they played in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots for Kiwi Davis Cup tie vs Bulgaria this weekend.

Young Ajeet (ATP 456) has been having breakthrough results in the past month with an ATP Top-100 win over Taro Daniel and running the likes of Thiago Monteiro (ATP 61) and Dimitar Kuzmanov (ATP 192) close in 3 sets. 

Kiranpal Pannu (ATP 576) turned Pro after college in late 2021 and has started dominating $15Ks already and is currently transitioning from $25Ks to the ATP Challenger tour.

ITF J60 Doha Doubles Finalists: Ronit Karki and Aa ITF J60 Doha Doubles Finalists: Ronit Karki and Aarav Patel. 
Ronit (ward of ITD representative Trilok Karki) also made it to his first singles semifinals at this event.

Ronit was also the USTA U14 No. 1 and took a set off in the semis against former Orange Bowl and Les Petits As finalist and hometown favourite, Rashed Nawaf.

With a new career high of World No. 39 in Junior Rankings, Aryan has become the highest ranked Indian Junior since Sumit Nagal who was ranked as high as World No. 23. 

Aryan is coached by Coach Vaidik Munshaw, R.H. Kapadia Sports Academy in Ahmedabad. Aryan already has an ITF Mens ranking of 1056 and is mixing in Pro tour events in between the major Junior competitions.

Indian No. 1 Prajnesh Gunneswaran defeated Danish No. 3 Elmer Møller with a scoreline of 6-4 7-6 to make it a respectable score of 2-3 loss for India in this tie. 

India will now be relegated to World Group 2 after this loss.
