Where Will Sumit Nagal Play Next? Unveiling The Tennis Star’s May Schedule

After his historic run at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, Indian Tennis fans have been eagerly waiting to see their highest ranked singles tennis player, Sumit Nagal, back in action.

In an interview to The Times Of India, Nagal revealed that he was taking a few weeks off to train at the Nensel Tennis Academy in Germany, as he had been competing without a break since March 2023. As a result, Nagal had to miss playing ATP tournaments in Barcelona, Madrid, and Rome.

However, Nagal is expected to participate in a few tournaments in the lead up to Roland Garros, the biggest clay court tournament in the calendar. His clay schedule leading into the tournament is expected to be:

1) May 13 – ATP 175 Bordeaux, France

He is already in the main draw list of the big ATP Challenger event that will take place in the 2nd week of the ATP Rome Masters.

2) May 20 – ATP 250 Lyon, France

He is currently the 6th seed in the qualifying draw, but could make the main draw directly in case there are enough withdrawals.

3) May 26 – Roland Garros, Paris, France

A French Open Main Draw debut beckons for Nagal!
