In the Shaping Champions Foundation Pune MSLTA PMDTA All India Ranking Championship Series U14 Tennis Tournament held in Pune on March 22, 2024, Namish Hood and Prarthana Khedkar emerged as champions in the boys’ and girls’ singles events, respectively.

Namish Hood, an unseeded 8th standard student of DAV Public School, defeated third-seeded Sarvadnya Sarode with a score of 6-3, 6-2 in the boys’ singles final. Namish trains at Fergusson Tennis Academy under the guidance of coach Sangram Chaphekar.

Prarthana Khedkar, a 7th standard student of The Good Samaritan School, overcame third-seeded Janhavi Choughule from Ichalkaranji with a score of 6-2, 6-0 to clinch the girls’ singles title. She practices at Manoj Kusalkar Tennis Academy under coach Manoj Kusalkar.

In the boys’ doubles final, the third-seeded pair of Prajeetreddy Madireddy and Anshul Pujari defeated the second-seeded duo of Aarush Potdar and Aarav Patel with a commanding score of 6-0, 6-1 to secure the doubles title. Similarly, in the girls’ doubles final, the top-seeded pair of Sara Fengse and Janhavi Chougule claimed victory by defeating the second-seeded pair of Rita Kondkar and Mayra Topno with a score of 6-1, 6-3.

The winners and runners-up were awarded trophies and certificates. The prizes were presented by Sarika Gadade, Director of Shaping Champions Foundation Pune, Mr. Pravin Zite, MSLTA Supervisor, and Mr. Pranav Waghmare.
