Roland Garros Qualifying 2022: Yuki Bhambri out in Round 1

Paris, France: It was a case of missed opportunities for Yuki Bhambri against Turkey’s Altug Celikbilek as he was unable to carry the momentum to finish after being ahead in the both the sets.

Playing on an injury protected ranking, Bhambri shot to a 3-1 lead in a fast start, but his Turkish opponent slowly got into the groove to push ahead. Interestingly, Bhambri came into this tournament without any clay court practice, as it was his first singles match on clay this season.
