Sania Mirza made it to the SF of WTA 1000 tournament in Rome along with Lucie Hradecka . With this success, Sania will return to top 30 of WTA doubles rankings which is a great achievement for her in her farewell year.
Rohan Bopanna again partnering Matwe Middelkoop lost in second round of Rome Masters.

ATP Challenger Tour
Indian players were playing in 4 different challenger tournaments this week, one which started in Kazakhstan this week and 3 in Europe.
In singles, Sumit Nagal in Germany and Sasikumar Mukund in Kazakhstan qualified for main draw.But, both of them lost in first round, sad for Sumit in particular who won the first set and suddenly was hit by some injury and could not move much at all. Ramkumar also made it to main draw in France Challenger as a lucky loser but lost in first round as well.
In doubles, pair of Vijay Sunder Prashanth and Aniruddh Chandrashekhar made it to their first challenger SF in Zagreb, Croatia.

ITF Tour
Very few players played on ITF circuit this week. Both Ankita and Rutuja again lost in first round in Great Britain. They also lost in doubles QF.
Manish Sureshkumar upset the 4th seed in first round in Spain futures but lost in second round against current US open champion.
Sharmada Balu reached doubles SF at W25 in Sarasota,Florida.
ITF Junior tour
Couple of notable performances on ITF junior tour. Our girls #1 Shruti Ahlawat played in J1 in Italy. She had a very good win over 92nd ranked American Ava Crug 62 63 in first round before losing to top seed and 17th ranked Swiss Celine Naef who went on to win the tournament, She also made it to the doubles SF where she and partner again lost to Naef and her partner who were top seeds in close match.
15 year old Krish Tyagi made it to the singles final of J3 in Iran on clay.
