India had a 2-0 lead against Denmark on the first day of the Davis Cup 2022 World Group I playoffs tie with Ramkumar Ramanathan and Yuki Bhambri winning their respective singles matches. The second day started with the doubles tie featuring Rohan Bopanna/Divij Sharan representing India against their Danish counterparts Frederik Nielsen/Mikael Torpegaard.
The Indian team were the favorites to win the tie but the Danish team gave a tremendous fight and it went the distance with the Indian team winning it in 3 sets. Rohan/Divij saved 3 match points en route their win. The score line was 6-7(3), 6-4, 7-6(4). The match was a treat to the fans who were packed full house at the Delhi Gymkhana Club. This win sealed their spot in the Davis Cup 2022 World Group I stage.

Another match was played which was a dead rubber where Ramkumar Ramanathan beat Johannes Ingildsen 5-7, 7-5, 10-7.
