Dhakshineswar Suresh made an impressive start to his Asian Games debut, defeating Indonesia’s Gunawan Trismuwantara 7–5, 7–6(2) to reach the men’s singles Round of 16.
Suresh’s next opponent is sixth seed Tseng Chun-hsin of Chinese Taipei, who advanced with a 6–0, 6–1 win over Tajikistan’s Anvar Rakhmatov.
Tseng is currently ranked No. 212 in the ATP singles rankings, and reached a career-high of No. 83 on August 8, 2022.

First meeting between Suresh and Tseng
The Round-of-16 encounter will be the first meeting between Suresh and Tseng. Suresh will look to continue his strong debut campaign and secure a place in the quarter-finals.
