India’s fourth-seeded mixed doubles pair, Ankita Raina and N. Sriram Balaji, suffered a straight-sets defeat in the opening round, losing 4–6, 4–6 to Hong Kong’s Eudice Chong and Kairan Thompson.

The result brings their mixed doubles campaign to an early end.

India’s second-seeded pair, Rutuja Bhosale and Yuki Bhambri, received a bye in the first round and will begin their campaign in the next stage tomorrow.
