Ahmedabad, September 10, 2026: The J30 Ahmedabad – ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors entered its decisive phase on Thursday, as the quarterfinals produced a string of impressive performances and closely fought contests across the boys’ and girls’ singles draws.

Boys’ Singles

Several players booked their places in the semifinals with commanding performances. Lakshya Vardhan Chukka was particularly impressive, defeating Prateek Sheoran 6-2, 6-1. Abhivadya Misra also advanced with a solid 6-4, 7-5 win over Can Lawani, while second seed Nirbhay Agarwal produced a dominant display to see off Saksham Bhansali 6-2, 6-0. The day’s tightest boys’ singles contest came down to Om Patel, who edged past Heet Bhimshibhai Kandoriya 6-3, 7-6(3).

Girls’ Singles

The girls’ singles quarterfinals were just as competitive. Tanishca Bhatnagar recorded a comfortable 6-3, 6-2 win over Srushti Prakash Suryavanshi, while Saatvi Parag Mardaniya got past Prachi Malik 7-5, 6-2. Swasti Singh continued her strong run, upsetting second seed Mariya Patel 6-2, 7-5 to set up a promising semifinal clash.

Doubles

The doubles draws delivered plenty of drama too. Neil Ambekar and Raghav Prabhu survived a tight three-setter against Syed Faizaan Hussain and Amrit Vats, prevailing 6-2, 2-6, [10-5]. Lakshya Vardhan Chukka and Sarthak Ashok Gaikwad advanced with a 7-5, 6-3 win, while Pradnyesh Shelke and Jap Parwani also progressed in straight sets. In the girls’ doubles, Akshita Antil and Tanishca Bhatnagar delivered an emphatic 6-0, 6-0 victory.

With the quarterfinals complete, the tournament now moves into the semifinals as players look to book their places in Sunday’s title clashes — another strong showcase of India’s growing depth in competitive junior tennis.
