Indian doubles specialist Niki Poonacha and Thailand’s Pruchya Isaro continued their outstanding 2026 season by capturing the ATP 100 Lyon Challenger doubles title in France with a commanding performance in the final.
The Indo-Thai pairing produced a near-flawless display to defeat Tunisia’s Skander Mansouri and Austria’s Maximilian Neuchrist 6-0, 6-1 in just 49 minutes, showcasing their chemistry and dominance on the Challenger circuit.
The victory marks another significant milestone in what has been a breakthrough year for the pair. It is Poonacha’s 10th career ATP Challenger doubles title and his fourth Challenger crown of the season. The title is also the fourth won together by Poonacha and Isaro, underlining the success of their partnership.
Throughout the tournament, the duo displayed consistency, aggressive net play, and excellent teamwork, culminating in a one-sided championship match where they completely controlled proceedings from start to finish.
The triumph carries additional significance for Poonacha’s ranking ambitions. The title run lifts the Indian to a career-high live ATP Doubles ranking of No. 108, moving him within touching distance of a return to the Top 100. With several strong results already this season, the Chennai-born player is building momentum towards achieving that milestone in the coming weeks.
For Poonacha and Isaro, the Lyon Challenger title is another statement of intent as they continue to establish themselves as one of the most successful partnerships on the ATP Challenger Tour this season.
