Mumbai, November 11: At the MSLTA 25K Men’s ITF Tennis Tournament, organized by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and held at the GA Ranade Tennis Court, Rishi Reddy and Dheeraj Srinivasan Kodancha advanced to the main draw with impressive victories in the final qualifying round.

Reddy achieved a dominant 6-0, 6-4 win over fourth-seed Kazuki Nishiwaki of Japan, while Kodancha toppled fifth-seed Jang Yunseok of Korea with a score of 6-2, 6-4. Four other Indians, including 17-year-old Yuvan Nandal, veteran Vishnu Vardhan, Ishaque Eqbal, and Udit Kamboj, also secured their places in the main draw. Indonesia’s M. Rifqi Fitriadi was the only foreign qualifier to make it into the main draw, which begins on Tuesday.

Khumoyun Sultanov of Uzbekistan, ranked 231, will lead the singles seedings, followed by last week’s Bhubaneswar champion Dalibor Svrcina from the Czech Republic, ranked 258. Indians Ramkumar Ramanathan (309) and Sasikumar Mukund (365) are seeded third and fourth, with Karan Singh (521) and Siddharth Vishwakarma (601) rounding out the top eight. A total of 22 Indians will compete in the highly competitive singles main draw.
