India’s Siddharth Vishwakarma made his Davis Cup debut in the 4th rubber of the tie against Sweden, but couldn’t prevent a straight-set defeat. The 29-year-old from Varanasi, ranked 588th in the world, lost 2-6, 2-6 to Sweden’s Elias Ymer, ranked 238th, in Stockholm.
With Sweden already leading 3-0 after clinching the tie, the 4th rubber was a dead one. Ymer, who had earlier defeated Sriram Balaji, delivered another commanding performance to further the lead for Sweden.
