Indian No. 4 Vasanti broke into the top-250 WTA Doubles rankings on the back of the ITF W75 Rome title last week. She is the 4th Indian behind Ankita Raina, Prarthana Thombare and Rutuja Bhosale in the Indian WTA Doubles rankings now.
Vasanti was ranked as high as 154 in the ITF Junior rankings before she went to University of Nebraska for her education.
Vasanti has turned into a doubles specialist pretty early and started on the Pro tour in mid-2021. Vasanti tasted her first title back in November 2021 when she won the ITF W15 doubles title in Portugal with Ines Murta. Her title with Leonie Küng of Switzerland is her 2nd and the biggest one to date.
