The Indo-Aussie pair beat the 2023 Australian Open finalists in a tightly contested match
Top seeds Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden continued their impressive run at the ATP Miami Masters 1000 event, beating Hugo Nys (Monaco) and Jan Zieliński (Poland) 7-5 7-6(3). In the first set, our pair saved all five break points in the 1st set, but converted the only break point chance they had.
In their previous round, Bopanna/Ebden had won a rematch of this year’s Australian Open final, beating Vavassori/Bolelli in a match that was decided by a super tiebreak.
They will next take on Alternates John-Patrick Smith and Sam Verbeek who upset 8th seeds Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic in the 2nd round.
