In the prestigious women’s tennis competition held at the Indore Tennis Club, top-seeded Russian player Ekaterina Yashina convincingly defeated India’s Riya Uboveja with a score of 6-2, 6-2, securing her candidacy for the main draw. In other matches, second-seeded Japanese player K.Ayumi defeated India’s Lalitya Kalluri 6-0, 6-2, third-seeded Russian player Daria U. defeated Russia’s Anastasia S. 6-2, 6-0, fourth-seeded Japanese player Akiko O. defeated India’s Arthi Muniyan 6-4, 6-1, fifth-seeded Russian player Anastasia J. defeated India’s Arunkumar Lakshmi Prabha 6-2, 5-7, 10-7, and sixth-seeded Japanese player Ozeki M. defeated India’s Anjali Rathi 6-7, 6-3, 11-9 to advance to the third and final round of the qualifying stage.
