The Indian team is represented by Yuki Bhambri, Sumit Nagal, Prajnesh Gunneswaran, Ramkumar Ramanathan and Rohan Bopanna. The non-playing captain is Rohit Rajpal. This tie will be played on the indoor hard courts and the venue is the Royal Stage, Hillerod, Denmark. Yuki Bhambri will begin the proceedings against World No.9 Holger Rune.

The schedule is as follows:

Rubber 1 – Yuki Bhambri vs Holger Rune
Rubber 2 – Sumit Nagal vs August Holmgren
Date – 3rd Feb, Friday
Time – 8.30 PM IST
Channel – DD Sports

The Danish Tennis Association spoke with Sumit Nagal and the excerpts from the short interview are mentioned below.

Many people expect Holger to win his match. Does that put more pressure on you ?

Sumit: I think every match whoever plays is special because it is not an individual match. You have your team behind you, you have your nation behind you. So if you are playing 0-1 or 1-0, it is pretty much the same situation.

It is going to be a full crowd here about 3000 people. What impact does it have ?

Sumit: I think in a normal match that’s the best thing you can have but in a Davis cup match, especially when you are away, it’s going to be a little tougher for the Indian team. I think to have people come and watch you, it gives a lot of adrenaline.
