Honey Jumani Sweeps 4 Titles in 2 Weeks in Burundi

Fourteen-year-old Honey Gaurav Jumani, born and raised in Ahmedabad, put together an impressive show on African clay, sweeping both singles and doubles titles in back-to-back weeks at the J30 Bujumbara event in Burundi.

Jumani went 8-0 in singles and 6-0 in doubles across the two weeks, without dropping a single set in either discipline. She partnered fellow Indian Jia Pandya for both doubles campaigns.

In an unusual twist, Jumani and Pandya faced the same opponents in the final of every event across both weeks.

The Bigger Picture

Four titles, zero sets dropped, and identical finals opponents in both weeks — it’s a rare kind of dominance on the junior circuit. At just 14, Jumani’s run in Bujumbara marks a strong statement of intent as she continues to build her ITF junior ranking.
