Indian tennis star DK Suresh has qualified for the Main Draw of the ATP Challenger 75 Brownsburg, defeating American Aidan Kim 7-6(2) 7-6(4) in the final round of qualifying.
A Tense Opening Set
The first set was the story of the match. Serving at 5-5, Suresh fended off three break points to hold serve and force a tiebreak. From there, he trailed 0-2 before reeling off seven consecutive points to snatch the opener 7-6(2).
Suresh carried that momentum into the second set, closing out the match in another tiebreak to book his place in the Brownsburg Main Draw.
Kim’s Strong Recent Form
The win is a notable one for Suresh given the American’s recent trajectory. Kim arrived in Brownsburg fresh off runner-up finishes at both M25 Dallas and M15 San Diego, making him one of the more dangerous floaters in the qualifying draw.
Interestingly, Suresh and Kim served 11 aces apiece.
Two College Tennis Products
Both players come through the US college tennis pipeline. Suresh is a graduate of Wake Forest University, while Kim is set to begin his senior year at Ohio State University this fall — underlining the growing overlap between college tennis and the professional Challenger circuit.

Suresh moves into the Main Draw and will play his Round 1 match on Tuesday, with his opponent still to be determined.
