The 2026 World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals in Prostejov, Czechia, proved to be a spectacular proving ground for 14-year-old Indian sensation Srishti Kiran (born June 14, 2012). Showcasing tremendous grit on the European clay, the talented youngster from Bengaluru, Karnataka, led India’s campaign alongside Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar in securing 9th place overall.
A Sensational Run in Prostejov
Over the course of the week, Srishti delivered standout performances for Team India, remaining perfectly undefeated in all 6 of her singles matches and dominating during the placement knockout stages:

The Florida Move: Training, Visas, and the “Long Route”
Hailing from Bengaluru, Srishti’s journey is heavily supported by her parents, Kiran Gopalrajan and Vinaya Kiran, who run a retail showroom business in the city. Recognizing her sharp reflexes early on, her father—whose own cricket dreams were halted by financial constraints—helped her pick up a racket at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) at age four.
To provide her with world-class opportunities, Srishti relocated to the United States in 2025 to train at the prestigious RPS Academy in Florida. Under the expert guidance of renowned coach Gabe Jaramillo, alongside coach Juan Abuchaibe and fitness coach Ivan Guerrero, her game has flourished.
Historic Grass-Court Debut at Wimbledon U-14
Adding to her impressive summer, Srishti made her highly anticipated debut at the prestigious Wimbledon 14 & Under Championships at the All England Club from July 9–12, 2026. She earned this exclusive qualification spot following a dominant, runner-up campaign at the ITF Asia 14 & Under Development Championships Finals in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Competing against the world’s best on historic grass courts, she proved her resilience on the global stage.
A Burgeoning Career & Global Ascent
Srishti’s stellar performances are just the latest milestones in a rapidly rising career. She is already making historic strides for her country:
Before turning 14, she achieved a historic milestone by climbing to World No. 1 in the ITF Under-13 rankings, becoming the highest-ranked player in her age group globally.
Her phenomenal string of recent international successes—including five consecutive ITF junior titles—has propelled her overall ITF Junior Ranking to an impressive No. 366 globally.
