The Professional Selection Committee of AITA has selected the Indian Davis Cup Team
for the upcoming Davis Cup Qualifier 2 tie against South Korea, scheduled to be held in
Seoul, South Korea on 18th & 19th Sep 2026.
The selection was undertaken by the Committee following detailed discussions and in
accordance with the applicable selection procedures and criteria. After detailed
deliberations and consideration of the players’ rankings, availability, recent
performances, and physical fitness, the Committee selected the following players to
represent India:
- Sumit Nagal
- Manas Dhamne
- Dhakshineswar Suresh
- Yuki Bhambri
- N. Sriram Balaji
- Siddharth Rawat (Reserve)
- Arnav Papakar (Reserve)
Promising junior player Arnav Paparkar has been included as an additional reserve
following his impressive performances in recent tournaments, including his participation
at Junior Wimbledon. His recent performances and progress at the international junior
level have been closely noted by the Selection Committee.
The Committee felt that his inclusion will provide him with valuable exposure to the
Davis Cup environment and international team experience, while also supporting his
development and grooming him as a potential senior player for India in the future.
The team will be led by Mr. Rohit Rajpal as Captain, with Mr. Ashutosh Singh as Coach.
Dr. Debashish Das and Mr. Yash Pandey have been nominated as support staff and will
accompany the team to Seoul.
