Playing on Center Court at the T.K. Prostejov Club, the Indian squad secured the overall tie early with back-to-back victories in their singles rubbers.
In the opening singles match (Singles No. 2), India’s Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar set a strong tone by defeating Canada’s Joni Colburne in straight sets, winning 6-3, 6-2 in 1 hour and 19 minutes.
