PROSTEJOV, CZECHIA — The Indian U14 girls’ team has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead against Colombia in the Girls Placement Draw at the 2026 World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals. Competing on Court 6 at the T.K. Prostejov Club “Old Area”, the Indian squad delivered strong singles performances to seal the tie early.

In the opening singles rubber, India’s Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar mounted a solid comeback against Colombia’s M. Medina Castro. After dropping the first set, Ramesh Kumar dominated the second and took an early lead in the decider before Medina Castro was forced to retire, handing India the first point.

Srishti Kiran then stepped up for the second singles match, securing the overall victory for India with a comfortable straight-sets win over P. Duque Salazar.
