Bhambri and Panova

Bhambri & Panova bow out in Mixed Doubles Round 2 at Roland-Garros

Yuki Bhambri and Alexandra Panova’s Roland-Garros 2026 mixed doubles campaign came to an end in Round 2 on Sunday, as the Indo-Russian pair were beaten 6-1, 6-3 by 4th seeds Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk. The British-American combination were in complete control from the first game, leaving Bhambri and Panova with little to build on across both sets.

Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk, a formidable unit who have made a habit of advancing deep in Slam mixed doubles draws, came out with a clarity of purpose that Bhambri and Panova simply couldn’t match across two sets.

For Bhambri, Roland-Garros represents familiar yet elusive territory. He has shown he belongs at this level, and the mixed doubles format, with its distinct rhythms and net-heavy exchanges, suits his aggressive baseline game on a surface he knows well. Panova, composed under pressure throughout, gave the partnership genuine balance. The duo looks poised, richer with experience that should serve them well the next time the draw opens up.
