India’s Yuki Bhambri moved one step closer to his first ATP title of the 2026 season after he and New Zealand’s Michael Venus booked their place in the final of the Geneva Open doubles event.
The Indo-Kiwi duo produced another impressive performance in the semifinals, defeating the Czech pair of Patrik Rikl and Adam Pavlásek in straight sets 7-5, 6-3.
Bhambri and Venus have looked solid throughout the tournament, not dropping a set on their way to the final. Their campaign began with a commanding 6-2, 6-4 win over Marcus Willis and Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela in the opening round.
In the quarterfinals, they edged past the local Swiss pair of Jakub Paul and Dominic Stricker 7-6(4), 7-5 to secure a semifinal berth.
The pair will now take on Marc Polmans and Romain Arneodo in the final, scheduled to begin at 4 PM IST today.
With momentum on his side, Bhambri will be aiming to lift his maiden ATP title of the season and continue his strong run on the doubles circuit.
