Ronit Karki on his win over the No. 1 seed Dante Pagani

The match was definitely tough. Like, I feel like all the matches here, you’re playing in very hot conditions, and, you know, everyone wants to win super bad, so that doesn’t make it any less physical. And, you know, we both played a physical first set, and he was playing very well.

And I think maybe he got a little tired or lost focus a little bit, but he let me kind of run away with the set. And then I think, honestly, it’s just the conditions, like, it became really physical. And he played along a lot, a lot of tennis yesterday, so I think that made him even more tired today.
