Dev Javia Registers Comeback Win to Enter Round Two at MSLTA ITF M25 Mumbai Open

Mumbai, November 12: In a battle of young talent, 22-year-old Dev Javia drew on his experience to overcome 17-year-old wildcard S. Rethin Pranav in a hard-fought three-set match, advancing to the second round of the MSLTA 25K Men’s ITF Tennis Tournament. The tournament is organized by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and played at the GA Ranade Tennis Court.

Javia, currently ranked 688 in the world, staged an impressive comeback from 1-4 down in the final set, ultimately defeating India’s 17-year-old national men’s champion and wildcard entrant Senthil Kumar Rethin Pranav, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, in a grueling 2-hour 37-minute contest to secure his place in the round of sixteen.

In another singles match, Adhithya Ganesan from the USA defeated Frenchman Arthur Weber with a solid 6-2, 6-4 victory.
