Dalibor Svrcina Triumphs in Singles at M25 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour 2024

The M25 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour 2024 concluded in spectacular fashion as No. 1 seed Dalibor Svrcina from the Czech Republic claimed the singles title at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Centre. Svrcina delivered an impressive performance in the final, defeating the No. 7 seed Nick Chappell (USA) in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0.

Svrcina’s powerful game and tactical precision proved overwhelming for Chappell, marking an emphatic end to a thrilling week of tennis in Bhubaneswar. With this victory, Svrcina earned the top prize of $3,600 and 25 ATP singles ranking points, adding another accolade to his ATP career. Runner-up Chappell received $2,120 and 16 ATP singles ranking points, further advancing his position on the competitive tennis circuit.

Following the final match, an award ceremony took place with President of OTA, Asit Tripathy (IAS Retd.), and Hony. Secretary OTA, Dr. Satyajit Mohanty (IPS Retd.), presenting trophies and prizes to the winner and runner-up as esteemed guests of the event. They were joined by Joint Secretary and Tournament Director Sanjeeb Panda (IPS), Vice President OTA Brahmananda Mishra, ITF Supervisor Abhishek Mukherjee, OTA Administrative Officer Sambit Patnaik, Assistant Supervisor Prabin Kumar Nayak, OTA Manager Bismay Das, and other members of the Odisha Tennis Association, who celebrated the players’ skill, sportsmanship, and dedication.

The M25 Bhubaneswar event was the first leg of this month’s ITF World Tennis Tour in India, with players now moving on to the M25 Mumbai tournament, which began today.
