The 5th-seeded Indo-Croatian duo of Rohan Bopanna and Ivan Dodig kicked off their campaign at the prestigious Rolex Shanghai Masters with a gritty 6-4 6-3 victory. The pair fought back from a break down to defeat the Spanish team of Pablo Carreno Busta and Pedro Martinez, securing their place in the Round of 16.

Bopanna and Dodig, both experienced campaigners, showed resilience to overcome early setbacks and maintain their momentum. They will now face the winner of the match between Arthur Fils/Ben Shelton and the team of Wesley Koolhof/Nikola Mektic in the next round for a place in the quarter-final.

Bopanna will be back with his regular partner Matt Ebden after this event.
