Indian No. 4 Shrivalli Bhamidipaty exited the singles and the doubles events of the W75 The Women`s Hospital Clinic event in Evansville, Indiana. The Indian lost in straight sets to Tara Moore by a scoreline of 6-7 4-6 scoreline in singles.
Tara Moore was playing her first match in 2 years as she was suspended for doping violations in 2022 and later acquitted in December last year after it was proven later that the substance was from beef she had consumed in South America
22-year old Shrivalli is accompanied by Coach Vishaal Uppal for this US Trip.
In the other match, Indian No. 2 Sahaja Yamapalli faced up against USTA U18 No. 1 player and Social Media sensation Anna Frey and after an initial hiccup, dominated her way in the rest of the match to have a 1-6 6-2 6-2 win in the opening round.
16-yr old Anna Frey, apart from being USTA U18 No. 1 ranked player, is also popular on TikTok with more than 2 million followers.
Sahaja will play former top-100 player Elizabeth Mandlik in the 2nd round.
