Parikshit Somani’s Difficult Journey: From Top 300 to Injury Setback

Indian doubles tennis player Parikshit Somani has opened up about his challenging four-month battle with a wrist injury. Somani’s ranking has plummeted from 270 to outside 500 as he struggled to find a diagnosis and treatment plan. The mental toll has been significant, but Somani remains determined.

“It’s been a painful couple of months, not just because of the wrist but more so mentally as we couldn’t find solutions to treat it,” Somani shared. Finally, it seems the root cause has been identified and treatment has begun.

Somani acknowledges the setback but remains focused on his journey back to the top. “Everyone has their own journey and I’m trusting mine,” he stated. “I will be back.”
