After securing the Heilbronn Challenger title last week, Nagal is set to face former World No. 37, Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles, in today’s semifinal match. Despite having a 0-2 head-to-head record against Miralles, Nagal’s recent surge in form gives Indian fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic. However, Nagal will need to overcome not only his opponent but also the fatigue from playing an intense schedule over the past two weeks.

A victory today would mark Nagal’s 10th ATP Challenger final and his 3rd of 2024. He will be aiming for his 7th career ATP Challenger title and 3rd of this year. After achieving a career-high ranking of 77 earlier this week, Nagal currently stands at 72 in the live ATP rankings.

Sriram Balaji’s Doubles Success
Sriram Balaji, who is set to partner with Rohan Bopanna in the upcoming Olympics, has made it to the doubles final in Perugia. Balaji, along with his partner Andre Begeman, faces the top-seeded duo of Guido Andreozzi and Miguel Reyes-Varela. Currently ranked 61 in the live doubles rankings, a win in the final could see Balaji achieve his career-high ranking.
