Adit Sinha, a 20-year-old student-athlete from Cornell University, notched up an impressive result on the pro tour, reaching the quarter-finals at the ITF M15 Santo Domingo tournament in the Dominican Republic.
Sinha, currently ranked 833 in the ATP rankings, upset 8th seeded American Alex Neff 6-2 7-6(1) in the 1st round and beat Mexico’s Luis Carlos Alvares Valdes 7-5 6-0 in the 2nd round, before losing to China’s Fnu Nidunjianzan 6-4 5-7 6-7(5) in a closely contested quarter-final match.
Previously, Sinha had a successful junior career, achieving a peak ranking of 91 in the ITF Junior Rankings. Sinha is currently studying at Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences. Sinha’s advancement to the quarter-finals in Santo Domingo underscores his talent and hard work as he balances the demands of collegiate academics and pro tennis.
