After a grueling injury break, Karman Kaur Thandi has bravely returned to the Tennis courts following a recurring elbow injury. The setback came in December, after the player’s initial recovery from an injury that had plagued them for a year and a half.
“It’s always very frustrating for an athlete to sit out and watch other players compete and play at the highest levels,” Karman confessed in an inerview to Round Glass Sports Academy. The injury caused a significant setback, after she had fought her way back into the top 220 of the WTA rankings. This ranking secured her a spot in all the grand slams and major tournaments.
Despite the disappointment, Karman remains determined and focused on the present. “I keep myself very much in the present of what I can do. That’s what just made me being able to play back again in February,” she explained.
Returning to Tennis has required careful management of her training routine. “Our training routine is very managed so that the load is increased gradually,” Karman stated.
