India No.1 and World No.95 Sumit Nagal, who’s in Morocco for his debut at the ATP 250 clay court tournament in Marrakech, will take on 99th ranked Frenchman Corentin Moutet in the 1st round on Tuesday, 2nd April.

Nagal and Moutet have faced each other thrice, with Moutet winning two out of these three matches, the latest one being at the ATP 125 Helsinki Challenger on indoor hard courts at the end of the 2023 season. The other two meetings happened way back in 2019 on green clay in the USA, with Nagal and Moutet splitting those matches.

Moutet has had an impressive season so far, making the semi-final on clay at the ATP 250 Santiago Open in Chile. For Nagal, this will be his first match on clay for 2024, having played on hard courts exclusively in the first three months.
