Bopanna reclaims World No.1 Ranking

Following his historic comeback win at the Miami Open, 44 year old Rohan Bopanna resumes his reign as the World No.1 in the latest ATP Doubles Rankings released on Monday, 1 April, 2024. This will be the Bopanna’s sixth week as the World No.1, after having reached the milestone after winning the Australian Open title earlier this year.

With his run in Miami, Bopanna also became just the 2nd Indian to make the final of all 9 ATP Masters 1000 events (after Leander Paes). Bopanna will recuperate for a few days in Bengaluru before flying to Monte Carlo, Monaco to compete in another ATP Masters 1000 event, this time on clay, starting 8th April. He is expected to be joined by compatriot Sumit Nagal, who will likely compete in the singles qualifying competition.
