Indian Junior No. 1 Rethin Pranav has received the Indian Cements – Tamil Nadu Sports Journalists`Association Scholarship for 2024. Each scholarship awardee receives a cheque for Rs 30,000, along with a trophy.

India Cements, a pioneer in promoting sports for the past 5 decades, is sponsoring scholarships for the 2nd time. The recipients were selected by a panel of sports journalists based on the athletes` recent performances.

The other recipients of the scholarship are: A.S. Sharvaanica (Chess), M. Anslin (Athletics), Barathkumar Karthi (Volleyball), Deeksha Sivakumar (Swimming), J. Hemchudeshan (Cricket), G. Kamalini (Cricket), Pooja Arthi (Squash), M. Akslin (Athletics) and J. Keerthika (Para Athletics).
