Jakupovic aims for the coveted double crown after clinching the Doubles title alongside Irina Maria Bara of Romania.
In the singles finals, the 33-year-old Jakupovic, currently ranked 213th in the world, halted Korean giant-killer Dayeon Back with a 6-4, 6-3 victory in a 1-hour 21-minute match.
In the other semifinal, Yeonwoo Ku of Korea won the battle of 21-year-olds, outclassing Russian Daria Kudashova 6-2, 7-5 in a 1-hour 28-minute match.
In the doubles finals, the top-seeded pair of Dalila Jakupovic and Irina Maria Bara staged a remarkable comeback from being one set and 3-5 down in the second set, as well as 5-7 down in the super tiebreak. They triumphed over Korean Yeonwoo Ku and Lithuania’s Justina Mikulskyte, securing a 6-7(5), 7-6(5), 10-7 victory and claiming the title. The victors earned 35 WTA points and $3935, while the runners-up received 23 WTA points and $2106.
