The stage is set for an exciting clash at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells as Indian tennis star Sumit Nagal takes on former World No.3 Milos Raonic in the opening match. Nagal entered the draw as a lucky loser after the legendary Rafa Nadal withdrew due to an injury.
Nagal will face a tough challenge 2016 Wimbledon finalist, Milos Raonic. Raonic, 6 feet 5 inches tall, is known for his booming serve. However, Raonic has been dealing with injury issues lately. Despite battling recent injuries, Raonic managed to notch two impressive victories at the Rotterdam Open, including one against the in-form Alexander Bublik. He later retired from his match against Jannik Sinner though.
The match has been scheduled lon centre court, but that was presumably because Rafael Nadal was supposed to take part. It remains to be seen if the organisers will change the court now that Nadal is not involved in the match.
