Thoughts on the match
I am really happy with the way I hung in there. It was tough. I was a set up and 5-3, 40-15 and I lost the set from there. It’s not easy to come back in the third set when you have just lost the set and the match from being match points up. But I’m really proud of myself of just hanging in there and fighting for every point.
On the home crowd support
Definitely it makes a lot of difference. I have a lot of friends here in Bangalore and it’s one of my favourite cities. Even Sunil Yajaman Sir was here. He’s been my mentor since the junior Asian games I played. So it’s really nice to play in Bangalore and especially have home crowd supporting you.
On the upcoming semis match
No, it’s just another match. Like I said before, I want to take one match at a time. See how I’m feeling tomorrow morning. I’m hoping the match won’t be until 5 o’clock tomorrow as well. So I get enough time to rest.
Definitely another challenge. I’m looking forward to it.
