ATP Tour

On ATP tour, teams of Yuki Bhambri /Saketh Myneni and Sriram Balaji and Jeevan Nedunzheziyan played ATP tour events in Atlanta and Umag respectively. Yuki/Saketh won a round but fell in QF against the same American pair of Lammons and Withrow whom they had lost to in SF at Newport ATP last week. Lammons and Withthrow had won the title at Newport.

Balaji and Jeevan lost in first round in Umag.

WTA Tour

Ankita Raina played singles qualifying and doubles at WTA 250 tournament in Warsaw, Poland. She qualified thru to singles main draw with a couple of good wins and lost in a very close match against a top 100 player. In doubles, she made it thru to the semi finals with an upset of third seeds in QF before losing in a close match in SF.

ATP Challenger Tour

On the ATP Challenger tour, after this big success last week, Sumit Nagal lost in first round this week.

Lots of our players played in Astana 50 challenger in Kazakhstan. In singles, there were 2 direct entrant and 3 qualifers, 5 Indian players in singles main draw but all of them lost in first round.

However, there was success for us in doubles where pairing Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha and S.D. Prjawal Dev beat top 3 seeds in the draw to win their first ATP challenger title.

On mens ITF tour, 5th seed Rishab Agarwal and Ishaque Eqbal made it to singles QF.

Our 15 year old Manas Dhamne played in Tunisia M15 but lost in first round against an Australian.

On Womens ITF tour, after the title last week, Karman Kaur Thandi lost in second round in W60 in Dallas, Texas against a Chinese player.

Rutuja Bhosale’s 10 match win streak in doubles, with three partners, got stopped this week. She had won the W25 Nakhon Si Thammarat title with Erika Sema 3 weeks ago and the W25 Roehamption (GBR/ Hard.) with Sarah Beth Grey last week.

At the W100 in Figueira Da Foz (Portugal/ Hard.), Rutu and Emily Webley Smith, seeded 4th, lost the SF 36 16 to the 2nd seeds Eudice Chong (HKG)/ Arianne Hartono (NED), after beating Sana Garakani (POR)/ Milla Sequeira (POR), 61 60 in the R1 and Estelle Cascino (FRA)/ YlenaIn-Albon (SUI), 62 62 in the QF.

On ITF junior tour, our junior #1 Yuvan Nandal who was the top seed made it to the final of J200 in Durban, South Africa before losing to the second seed from China in final.
