The All India Tennis Association put in a huge number of 18 International Men’s and
Women’s Pro events in India till March 2023. There will be four ITF 15k Women’s events
to be held in Gwalior, Jhajjar and Gurgaon. Three 25k events, which will take place in
Solapur, Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru and even a series of ITF 40k events will be there, to
be held in the cities of Bhopal, Pune and Bengaluru respectively.
This is the first ever time India will be hosting three back-to-back ITF 40k Women’s
events in the country.
In the Men’s category, three 25k events are scheduled to take place in New Delhi,
Lucknow and Davangere in the month of March. A 25k Men’s UTR PRO event is also
scheduled from 19th December 2022 in Madurai.
AITA is also ensuring the right exposure of our junior players. There will be eight junior
events until March which will ensure four ITF Grade 5 events, two Grade 2, one Grade 4
and one Grade 3 tournaments are also there on the table. A total of eight cities will host
these eight junior events, which are Chandigarh, New Delhi, Kolkata, Indore, Gurugram,
Dehradun, Bhilai and Madurai.
Four ATP events are also there in the catalogue till March which comprehends three
Challenger 100 events respectively in the cities of Chennai, Bengaluru, and Pune. Apart
from the three challenger tournament, there will be the 29th edition of TATA Maharashtra
Open 2023 from 2nd to 9th January, the only ATP 250 event in India.
