ATP Challenger Tour
We had our 3 top singles players playing in the Tallahasse Challenger on green clay in Florida, USA but all of them lost in first round in straights sets. In doubles we had better success as the pair of Ramkumar Ramanathan and Purav Raja reached semi finals while Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni reached the quarter finals.
More of our players played on red clay in Mexico where Sasikumar Mukund won the first round of qualifying but lost in final round of qualifying against talented Japanese last year’s Wimbledon junior champion. But, again we had better success in doubles where Divij Sharan reached his first challenger final in almost 2 years along with his Portugese partner and Jeevan made it to the SF. Both of them lost to the top seeds and eventual champions .
Arjun Kadhe also made it to the semi finals in a challenger in Croatia. So, overall a good week in challenger doubles.

ITF Junior Circuit
This week third of the Asia Oceania age group team events was held with under 14 girls world junior tennis in New Delhi.
And our under 14 girls team became our second team to qualify for world group when they made it to the SF beating teams from Singapore, Hongkong and Kazakhstan. They lost to Australia in SF and then Korea for the third place match. Our # 1 Aishwarya Jadhav lost only to Australian and Korean #1 players and she avenged that loss to Korean # 1 too in the third place match. So, she does look a talented player. These girls will get good exposure at world group stage although getting win at that level won’t be easy.
