“I played really good. I was holding my service games easily” – Otto Virtanen

Former Junior Wimbledon and Orange Bowl champion Otto Virtanen scored a straight sets win over Indian No. 1 Prajnesh Gunneswaran with a scoreline of 63 76 to hand the lead to Finland.

After the match, Otto shared his thoughts with Indian Tennis Daily

Thoughts on the match

I played really good. First set was in my hands. I was holding my service games easily and was able to put pressure on Prajnesh`s service games.

In the second set, I had a lot of breakpoints. I could not win them. I was up against a set point but I was able to ace it and then really picked up my game from there. I won a lot of the remaining points after that.

So overall I played really solid.

You are playing Prajnesh for the first time – Did you watch any videos. what was your game plan going into the match?

We saw him play here this week. Some of our team mates played against Prajnesh before and so we got pointers for preparation. He is a leftie and we had Jarko, who is a leftie, at the practice helping me out.
