Sania Mirza made it to her first final since her injury return when she reached the final of WTA tournament at Cleveland along with Christina Mchale before losing to top seeded Japanese pair in the final.

At Winston Salem Open ATP 250
Sasi Kumar Mukund lost in first round of qualifying at Winston Salem ATP tournament against a top 100 player. Also young Siddhant Banthia made his ATP debut here getting a wild card in doubles with his doubles partner from Wake Forest University and put up a decent fight against top seeds before losing in first round.

US Open
In the US open qualifying 4 Indian players appeared- Sumit, Ramkumar, Prajnesh in men and Ankita in womens. But, only Prajnesh was able to win a round while other 3 went out in first round- all in 3 set match though and those who beat Ramkumar, Prajnesh and Ankita all qualified for main draw.
