Disappointment in French Open qualies

It was somewhat disappointing French open qualifying for our players this week. Prajnesh on mens side and Ankita on womens side won a round each but fell in the next round. Ramkumar lost easily which was somewhat expected as he was playing his first competitive match in a while but most disappointing was our #1 and our best on clay court by far, Sumit Nagal losing out in straight sets to former top 100 player Dustin Brown.

ATP Challenger Tour

Sasi Kumar Mukund has started back on tour but lost in first round in this week’s in Romania.

Balaji too lost in first round of a challenger in Italy with his double partner.

ITF Tour

Our Women’s #2 Riya Bhatia has started playing on ITF tour and won a round at a $15K tournament in Porto, Portugal but lost in a close match in the second round.
