WTA Baltic Open: Ankita Raina’s run ends in the quarters

Indian No. 1 Ankita Raina’s run ended in the quarters of the Baltic Open in Jurmala, Latvia. Coming into the doubles draw as an alternate with the Polish Katarzyna Kawa, Ankita pulled off a nail biter in the first match to win in the super tie-breaker.

In the quarter finals, our pair was up against the much stronger pairing of Irina Bara and Dalila Jakupović to lose out the match 06 26. This impressive run catapults Ankita Raina into the pole position of the Indian doubles rankings.
