Naiktha Bains, the British-Indian girl, who shot to limelight as a 7 year old hitting on the Wimbledon courts with Boris Becker – came around the full-circle to make her Wimbledon debut in the qualies this year.
Naiktha, ranked 222 now, was pitted against the higher ranked Danielle Lao of USA (rank 168) in the first round of the qualification draw. Naiktha lost the match in straight sets but this is only the beginning and we’ll hear more of this young girl soon.
