Riya(IND, 731) beat 16 yr old Juliana Figueroa Teusa (COL, NR) in the first qualifying round with a score line of 6-0 6-0. 

She followed it up with a victory over the top seed Marine Partaud (FRA, 425) in the final qualifying round with a score line of 2-6 6-3 10-5.
