Pune, February 10, 2026:  India No. 1 Sahaja Yamalapalli and India No. 3 Shrivalli Bhamidipaty scored credible wins to move into the second round of the singles at the 25th edition NECC Deccan 75KITF Women’s Tennis Tournament which is being organized by Deccan Gymkhana and sponsored by National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) under the auspices of the ITF, AITA and MSLTA and played at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Courts.

Sahaja Yamalapalli  got past fighting Ekaterina Maklakova of Russia 6-4, 7-6(8-6) while Bhamidipaty played flawless tennis to get past  Russian Victoria Milovanova 6-3, 6-2. Qualifier Ankita Raina could have made it three Indians into the second round having ‘match point and leading 5-1 in the third set against eighth seeded Korean Sohyun Park. However Park came back to win the decider set and scraped past Raina 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 and make it to the second round
