Manas Dhamne Wins Title in Kuwait; Beats Coach’s Son Rocco Piatti In Final

Indian tennis sensation Manas Dhamne has captured the singles title at the ITF M15 Zahra. The 18-year-old top seed secured the trophy in an interesting final, defeating Rocco Piatti, the son of his own mentor, the legendary Riccardo Piatti.

A Final with a Family Twist

The championship match featured a storyline rarely seen on the professional circuit. Standing across the net from Dhamne was Rocco Piatti (ATP 1629), who shares more than just a training base with the Indian star. Rocco is the son of Riccardo Piatti, the world-renowned coach currently guiding Manas’ career in Italy.

Despite the personal ties and the presence of his coaching team in a “house divided” scenario, Dhamne showcased elite professionalism. He took the title with a disciplined 7-5, 6-3 victory.

Path to the Podium: Clinical and Consistent

Dhamne’s run in Kuwait was nothing short of dominant. Entering as the tournament’s top seed, he lived up to the billing by dismantling the draw with aggressive baseline play and a vastly improved serve.

  • The Final Score: 7-5, 6-3
  • The Milestone: 3rd professional career title (1st in 2026)
  • The Efficiency: Lost only one set across the whole week

At just 18 years old, Dhamne is currently the 2nd youngest player in the ATP Top 500 (Ranked 481).

What’s Next for Manas Dhamne?

With the ITF M15 Zahra title under his belt, Dhamne’s 2026 season is off to a perfect start. The focus now shifts to the ATP Challenger Tour, where he will play at the ATP 50 Chennai Challenger starting tomorrow.
